It can be difficult to find time to engage in non-course reading during the semester for both faculty and students. There are numerous works of both fiction and non-fiction that enhance our understanding of psychological constructs. My students have remarked on their desire to maintain an informal tie to campus and academic work during the summer months. In order to meet both of these needs, I host a summer book club for interested students. We read one book in the months of June and July and meet over on campus over lunch to discuss the content and themes. Posted below are the books that we have discussed along with some of the questions we used as a jumping off point.
